Tao Porchon-Lynch is truly a role model to aspire to. Positive, fun, determined, gentle and aging as gracefully as one could ever hope to, this woman will change you. Make sure to watch all the videos below. No matter what your age, or where you are in life, Tao’s example has something to teach you.

Here is her interview as well as other interviews about her as well. She is endlessly fascinating:

1) What benefits from doing a regular yoga practice can people expect?

I feel an inner strength when practicing yoga,  as it opens up the door to the creator of life within me. Nothing is impossible™ as the breath and the kundalini energy travel throughout the inner subtle spine and unfolds to reveal the answer, “nothing is impossible (my trademark).  Yoga gives us the answer and power to do all things.

I think yoga changes a person’s fear, both mentally as well as physically.

2) How often should they practice yoga per week?

          As often as time allows.

3) In a recent interview, it mentions that you are vegetarian. How long have you been vegetarian and what made you decide to eat that way?

I’m not a vegetarian in the sense its thought of in the present. I believe Mother Nature provides me with all the fruits and vegetables to eat correctly. I don’t believe in killing anything and felt this way at a very young age.  I occasionally eat fish.

4) What do you eat in a typical day?

Half a grapefruit for breakfast, coffee or tea, usually no lunch, spinach, maybe a small pizza for dinner.

According to Julie, her assistant, “Tao loves fruits and vegetables from the earth! She also loves fruit juices.. She drinks NO water!  Only in tea and coffee. She bathes in water, doesn’t drink it.  She says water “rusts her pipes.  Also eats chocolate and wine! She’s a certified wine judge.. Also occasionally eats fish. She doesn’t eat meat..”

5) What tips would you recommend to people to live a long, productive life that is healthy?

Eat slowly with small portions. If possible, eat more fruits and vegetables. Think positive! Don’t let negative thoughts in your mind. Try to have only small doses of the media. Don’t look for negative attitudes and don’t always think only your answer is the right one.

6) What other things do you do to for well-being that you feel are essential?

Meditate on what you really want to do and put it into practice. Don’t be submerged with tons of thoughts you never do. When you wake up in the morning, start the day and know its going to be a good one. Don’t get involved with anything negative. Don’t take too many pills. Laugh at life.

7) What advice would you give young people for being successful in life?

Know there is no such thing as “age.” Tune into the power of the eternal and feel the beauty of life. Nothing is impossible. Yoga revitalizes us  with every breath we take.
